The Product : bondi sands pure self tan foaming water dark review

Bondi Sands Pure self tan foaming water.

Price: $24.95 pure self tan review

Since the beginning of last year, I was willing to test different self-tanning brands that scale my skin tone, but I wanted to find a natural tan made with clean ingredients that were leaving that beautiful non-orange finish — hard, right? That was until 2021 when the cult tanning brand Bondi Sands and their new product range Pure Self Tanner landed on my desk.

Early January, there I was armed with the mitt, cleansed, and exfoliated skin, and all the hope that comes with trying a new product. Bondi Sands Pure range includes from Pure self-tanning sleep mask to Pure self-tanning drops for the face; however, I decided to start with the self-tanning foaming water on my entire body.

The Hype pure self tan review

As news spread the cult self-tanning brand launched the Pure self-tan range without any nasty ingredients, so fans of the brands and beauty editors got seriously excited – Not only does the tan comes with great ingredients like Hyaluronic Acid for hydration, Vitamin C for radiance, and Vitamin E for repair. Also, it is a fragrance-free formula and gentle enough for sensitive skin. Plus it’s vegan, cruelty-free and the packaging is made with recycled material. Sounds a bit too good to be true, right?

The Review: bondi sands pure

First, let’s address that this foaming water is fragrance-free, which means it doesn’t smell like fake tan. When I see a new self-tanning bottle that promises not to smell, most of the time I decide to ignore it because if I leave it on during the whole night, no matter what fragrance is used, that uncomfortable smell reigns supreme. However, with the Pure self-tan foaming water, didn’t happen.

I notice how good it feels on the skin thanks to the Hyaluronic Acid, leaving my skin looking silky, and beautifully bronzed after a few hours. Whereas some self-tanners can leave the skin looking a little dry and flat, the Pure self-tan is like a shot of life for sad-looking skin.

I opt for the shade ‘dark’ because I tend to tan very easily and I like a deep tan as If I went to the south of Italy. I apply the first layer seamlessly, then waited 30 minutes, and went in with a second layer. Two coats definitely do the job, and I’m happy with how tanned and natural I’m looking.

How to Apply Bondi Sands Pure Foaming Water

The directions recommend leaving it on for a minimum of six hours, but I like to leave it overnight — it’s just easier for me — Does Bondi Sands stain sheets? In the morning, I expect my sheets to be looking dirty with an uncomfortable scent, as they usually do when I apply a fake tan. The surprise? my expectations were not met.

The Verdict pure self tan review

Besides the fact that Bondi Sands Pure self tanner provided the easiest tanning experience, the list of ingredients is just a dream. The packaging looks so minimal and chic plus it’s 100% recyclable plastic with a zero metal foam head to limit the environment’s impact, making my love go well beyond ease.

The finish is so natural and beautiful on the skin. My arms, in particular, look perfectly even – and a million times healthier than my normal skin. The cellulite on my bump is gone, the tag price is quite affordable — $24 for a 200mL bottle — so overall, I’m so impressed that I will use this product again and again.
