To start with what was it like working with Phoebe Dynevor?
Wonderful!! She is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. She is incredibly talented, and the honour was all mine.
How did you create Daphne’s makeup look? The showrunner gave you any instructions for her look?
Yes, we were given a direction, and Marc Pilcher took that and created design ideas that would then be tested and discussed, tweaked if needed, and by the time all that happened Daphne had a look.
Daphne needed to be fresh and innocent. Marc’s idea was to show this innocence through a barely-there makeup look. Letting her natural beauty shine clear.

Phoebe is really good at looking after her skin, and it is so beautiful.

To me, it is all about letting the natural beauty shine through. Enhance what you have, don’t cover your self with a mask of makeup.
What is your take on the world’s obsession with the “less is more” kind of beauty
I think it’s great and well overdue! I hope Phoebe and I helped you play a part in that. That would make me happy.
What colour of lipstick and blush does Daphne wear in the Bridgerton? daphne joy makeup
No lipstick. Just Dr Paw Paw Lip Balm, Charlotte tilbury “pillow talk” liner and pixi lip stain in “flushed”. For the cheeks I like to use, Stila “Lillium” cream blush
