If you’ve followed my journey at CF since the beginning you’ll probably be aware that among other things I suffer from hormonal acne since my early teens, not common for a beauty editor, I know… Anyway, after so many bad decisions before getting into the world of beauty, I’m now on a journey to clear my complexion from unwanted scars and hyperpigmentation marks in the most natural way possible.

When my skin is cleansed I normally go for one of these two practices, either I leave it to dry naturally or I use either a muslin cloth to gently remove any cleanser rests, if you go for the latter don’t forget to wash the cloth each time you uses, we don’t want to attract the bacteria left on the cloth from the day before. I recommend you to get yourself a set of these so you don’t have to worry about washing them day after day…

2. Control with the Acne Serum
Let’s get real, the control serum it’s Real-U hero acne treatment product, this formula contains a unique marine-complex salt to help break the acne cycle and more importantly to rebuild the health of your skin. Apply it to cleansed skin, a pea-size amount is enough all over your skin. My little trick, go all the way to your décolletage, unfortunately for me, I have hyperpigmentation marks all over my neck, if that’s your case too, I highly recommend you to follow this extra tip.

3. Hydrate with the Lite Moisturiser
The perfect way to keep problematic skin properly hydrated without clogging your pores. This lightweight, non-greasy lotion is easily absorbed into your skin leaving it feeling soft and velvety smooth. Keep using the same amount of product that with the previous steps, a pea-sized amount is more than enough -PSA not for using more product, it will be more effective-warm-up the formula a little bit between your fingers and massage it all over the face and neck, always in an upward direction.

Extra Step: Remove Spot Treatment
Any acne treatment isn’t it complete with a proper spot treatment, the reason for all our nightmares. It might be true that we are not going out for the foreseeable future but who likes to wake up and discover a new pimple in the worst place possible? I certainly don’t, so that’s when I like to apply a very small amount of the REMOVE to the affected area after the HYDRATE but you can also do it before your Control Face Serum for that extra kick and reapply 3-4 times daily if needed.

The Verdict
After the first week is pretty normal that you cannot notice any difference, as your skin needs time to get used to this new routine so make your skin a favor and don’t quit the acne treatment after just one week, the results will come, for me is being a pretty noticeable reduction of inflammation and redness particularly in my cheeks where my hormonal acne is concentrated, and not only my face has benefited from this acne treatment but also my neck is feeling much more smooth and some unwanted marks are already gone.
Every skin is a world and it can react differently to any skincare treatment, this review is my honest opinion on how the Real-U acne treatment has been working for my skin personally, and hopefully, it can enlighten you on the path of a clear and glow skin naturally.
