Paula’s Choice C25 Super Booster

Vitamin C-based skincare has become one of my go-to ingredients during the last couple of months as my skin goals were bright, tighten, and achieve an overall better-looking skin and yes, there’s an ingredient for that.

I’ve been trying this marvelous 25% Vitamin C from Paula’s Choice and I have noticed genuine changes on my skin. The serum boost radiance and shine creating long-term changes to the way my skin looks but also it’s been helping to minimize my dark sports and retouch discolored acne scars while preventing new ones, on top of that my skin looks brighter.

Because this product is highly active, it can cause a tingling or burning feeling upon application but for me, it’s completely worth it. I like to apply it 2-3 times per week at night (as I love retinol as well and these two ingredients are not the best friends) and once a day during the morning for a looking radiant, luminous and healthy skin.

R+CO, Acid Wash Apple Cider Vinegar

I love to use products that actually work but also that contain good-for-you ingredients (hi apple extract, aloe vera, and tamanu seed oil) and this bad boy is one of these products that I can not stop to use it since I received it.

As a big fan of dry shampoos and styling products, after 2-3 days of on-going use of them, I get a lot of product buildup, and this cleansing rinse has become my ride or die to cleanse away all the product accumulated on my scalp without stripping away natural oils and yes it also helps to make the pH balance while protecting it from environmental aggressors…  After continuous use (sadly my bottle is about to finish) I’ve noticed my hair is shinier and softer and I particularly love the citrous smell, I massage into my hair and scalp and leave in for 1-3 minutes before you rinse it out and it definetely does a great job!

Who is Elijah, HIS – HER

Our memories are so laced with scent, one whiff can evoke meaningful moments from our past, so for me, choosing the right perfume can be as hard as find a perfect pair of jeans. It has to be irresistible, worthy of misting on my day to day basis, and of course, look chic on my vanity! A few months ago I was working on a piece all about clean perfumes (click here if you missed it) and I got sent the Who is Elijah HIS HER. This perfume has become my go-to debunking all my perfume’s collection – Never overpowering but still very much present is the vibe of this scent.

The combination of Sandalwood, Cashmere Musk, Violet Leaf and Cardamom, is just stunning—sexily understated in a way that makes it as beautiful for the day as for date night and surprisingly long-lasting. For me, there’s nothing dreamier than feeling fresh and sexy when I leave my door in the morning and this scent is full of personality and a voice which I personally love.

Aesthetics RX, Brightening and Exfoliant Serum

A few months ago I had a zoom meeting with Nicola Kropach, GM at Aesthetics Rx where she took me through not only her background, the Aesthetics Rx one, the BTS on how they formulate products but also she gave me quite a few golden nuggets for my specific skin type. As you might know at this point, I’m one of those persons who suffer from acne, hyperpigmentation, and scarring around the vast majority of my face. So when I told Nicola I wasn’t using a derma roller on my daily routine while putting all my serums and beauty products she couldn’t wait longer and straight recommend me to start using one, I have to be honest but I was kinda skeptical at the beginning, luckily for me due to my job I have extensive sources of information at my fingertips who help me every day on the lookout for radiance and glowing skin. Yes, a beauty editor can have the same concerns as any of you out there.

Fast forward a few weeks, I started to implement the Aesthetics Rx derma roller 3 times a week as recommended by Nicola with the Ultimate Serum Brightening and Exfoliant, the latter is a bougie buy but highly recommend for problematic skin types. Why I love it so much? The answer is pretty clear, it mixes two of my ride-to-die ingredients; niacinamide and acids (AHA+BHA), I know I said this so many times during the last few months but honestly, I don’t know what I’ll be doing these days without my dear acids. The results before and after microneedling within my skin are simply speechless, not only my serum is way better absorbed but also my skin is looking plump, with a more even tone and the scars on my cheeks are starting to fade, I must blame the powerful yet natural formula, lactic and citric acid are some of the less irritating AHA’s on the market and mixed with Salicylic and Cucumber extract making Aesthetic Rx safe for almost every skin type.

Ipsum Skin, Best Skin Body Oil

Let me give you a clear statement here: I’ve never had my legs that smooth, that’s a given and probably the reason why I can’t stop slather the Ipsum Best Skin Body Oil all over myself, during the cold winter months. I used to take long and warm showers, good for my body temperature but not so good for my skin hydration levels. That’s when a boost of hydration as this Ipsum formula comes to play, with almost 100% organic and natural ingredients, the formula couldn’t be better, wait a sec, have I told you it also smells so luxurious that you’ll be in love with it since day 1? The unique, warm floral fragrance combines the green softness of Petitgrain with the heady richness of Patchouli and Rose and just a hint of Australian Sandalwood, yes it’s like heaven melting on your body.

My skin has never been happier than when using a botanical blend like this, some highlights? It includes Avocado, Grapeseed, Argan, and Jojoba oils plus Australian grown and harvested Davidson Plum Fruit extract, rich in skin-boosting antioxidants and Macadamia Nut oil for the most velvety and smooth touch all year long.

Fenty Beauty, Slip Shine Sheer Shiny Lipstick

I got send this cute lippies from a PR package from Fenty Beauty a few months ago but due to COVID it hasn’t been till restrictions started to lift that I felt in deeply and pure amor with the latest Riri’s lippy formula. This is an ultra comfortable sheer lipstick with the perfect amount of nourishing color and shine, available in 10 different shades each of them perfect for a specific mood. Every time I leave my place and realise I don’t have on my current bag, I have to come back and get it, has become a staple on my everyday looks as well as on weekends when I’m not feeling like a putting on a strong color and to be honest, that doesn’t happen most of the days.

Like the queen, Ri herself says “This lipstick’s my go-to when I want to slip on something that’s comfortable and looks good”. It has it all, it’s shiny, buildable, and with a creamy texture that you’ll want to apply again and again on a non-stop basis, I’m telling you, the Slip Shine instantly delivers pouty, fuller-looking lips ready for even the most unexpected kisses of all. Just to add to more fire into the combo, the packing as all Fenty products are to die for, sleek, and a gorg fit to any well-curated IG feed. Almost forgot but my go-to-shade is Glazed, a nudy-pinky hue to match any outfit any day.

Alice’s Favourites Of The Month

Davroe, Rebuilder

products to review products to review products review

When I moved to Sydney, two years ago, I decided to go blonde. Worst idea ever of course. My hair was so damaged that I had to cut it all. And if you know me, you’ve probably heard my saying I’m obsessed with having long hair, so you can imagine how devastated I was at that instance. Anyway, what was done was done, and the only thing I could do was to wait until my hair will grow again. Fast forward to that moment, my strands needed a hair-therapy. And by that I mean, lots of masks, scalp massages, and so on. At this point, I threw my straightener away and I decided to go on a hunt for the perfect product to help me in my quest.

And here it is… the Davroe Rebuilder! To be honest this product has been a true miracle for my damaged hair. However, I must say I was a bit surprised within the first use. Why? The texture looks like soap. Weird, right? But absolutely not, when you put it on your hair. I recommend using it once you have washed your hair and apply it on the ends, wait for about 3 to 5 minutes, and follow by a conditioner. The results are beyond amazing, my hair has regained its natural volume and is in such good health.

Bohemian Skin Organic Gel Cleanser

products review products review products review

I have really sensitive skin and on top of that, some pimples appear on my face because of my diet, stress, and even hormones – you know the drill. Among all of this, I’ve noticed that water plays also a big part in my skin health. I usually need to apply my cream right away I shower because otherwise, it gets kind of itchy.  But like many of you, until the Bohemian Cleanser joined my crew, I couldn’t find a good and clean product that will suit my skin.

With a heavenly scent and glorious texture, I love to pair it with my Foreo at the end of the day to get rid of all the pollutants my face has been in contact with. Just so you know, my skin feels so nourished that I have to only apply my usual night cream to hydrate and I’m off for the day. A bujee buy totally worth it if you like me suffer from sensitive skin.
