As a beauty editor, I’m a sucker for a good treatment and willing to test — almost — anything in the name of beauty, but even though facials are something that I’m used have regularly, the viral “Game of Thrones Facial” exceeded my expectations.

The Treatment DMK Enzyme Therapy

The DMK Enzyme Therapy Treatment is powerful — not your ordinary — facial that uses enzymes to oxygenate, detoxify and revive your skin’s natural barrier. The potent treatment basically brings your skin back to its best condition, treating every skin concern (including acne, scars, pigmentation, and dull skin), leaving a healthy complexion and feeling refreshed.

It also detoxifies all the nasties out of your skin using your own lymphatic system. It’s a non-invasive treatment and works to remove dead protein cells from the skin’s surface without stripping it back.

The Review DMK Enzyme Therapy

Before we get into it, it might be worth mentioning that I’ve been testing the DMK Enzyme Treatment for more than three months, and my main concern was post-antiinflammatory pigmentation and texture.

My skin therapist (Danielle Loadsman) is an absolute rockstar, and I feel confident to say that she is one of the best skin therapists you can find in Sydney; she explained everything in detail, from ingredients, to what to expect and results from the first moment.

After cleansing the skin and evaluating which mask will be used — each mask is completely different, and each treatment depends on your skin’s needs — The famous face mask is applied and starts to get harder after a few minutes. When the face mask gets completely hard, you immediately feel the pulsation that characterised the treatment. This pulsation works with the skin’s internal structures and functions from the inside out, flushing out the build-up of toxins and flooding our cells with fresh new blood and oxygen, plus it helps to exercise the facial muscles — I like to think this DMK enzyme therapy treatment is like pilates for the face—

The treatment is applied for 45 minutes approx — and after they get your mask on, you can actually relax thanks to the calm music and great arms and hands massage that Danielle always gives me — Hi, heaven — Also, while you are in heaven, the skin therapist will prescribe the best products that work for you, based on the skin consultation you get done at the beginning of the appointment.

My verdict? DMK Enzyme Therapy

I personally really love this facial, and since I tried it, I can’t stop. It is definitely not your overall facial, but the results are pretty impressive, first because it gives the skin a good workout and leaves the complexion feeling fresh and plump. I know it can be a little pricey, around $169 per session, but it definitely gives you the results that you want to see after you spend your hard-earned $$$.

What I love the most is the holistic approach the brand has, and I can genuinely say that I’ve noticed a massive difference in my skin since I started with DMK enzyme treatments.
