The 10 Hair Loss Reasons Why Your Hair is Falling Out and How To Stop It

However, it’s not always the easiest hair product to apply – Hi white roots – But lucky us the hair industry is fasting evolving (including dry shampoos) from its original toxic version, and now we can find many different types of effective yet non-toxic best dry shampoo from every hair type and texture to add balance and soak up excess oil. Dry shampoo how to use.

HOW TO USE DRY SHAMPOO

Are your roots oily? You can spray them at night before going to bed so the powder actually soaks up excess oil while you sleep, then brush it out and let the magic happens! But if you still feel that your hair is not as clean as you like, just spritz on a bit more of dry shampoo, wait a couple of minutes for the powder to soak the oil, and brush out.

Another way to use a dry shampoo especially during the day, before going to work, meeting, events… is to section the hair and spray each section from about eight to ten inches away. For me is key to spray from far enough away from the roots, so the spray isn’t too concentrated and you won’t have those unwelcomed white spots all over your hair. This trick is perfect to use with most dry shampoo formulas except foam, which is applied directly to the root and hair.

WHAT YOU SHOULD NOT DO?

One of the top tips from celebrity hairstylist is to:

  1. Let the dry shampoo sit for a few minutes as it needs time to soak up the oils so if you are shaking your head out before running out the door (yes I’m guilty too) keep in mind that massaging it in right away defeats the purpose of its oil-absorbing powers.
  2. You are only using dry shampoo when your hair is too oily and you shouldn’t, as dry shampoo can be used even in clean hair to add texture after styling as it’ll make the hair look more natural while still holding shape
  3. Do not overuse dry shampoo, as it will remove your hair’s natural oils, and the hair can end up dry and more susceptible to breakage. A good tip to know when its time to say bye to dry shampoo is to look on your scalp if you notice product collecting there, then its time for a hair wash session.
