One of the worst things we can do during a global health pandemic is stockpile products that actually help to control the disease. If we all go and buy hundreds of disinfectants there won’t be enough for others. Right? However, if you are told to self-isolate or you just want to do it to prevent the disease, having enough supplies during this two weeks could be very useful so we wanted to share with you a shopping list for everything you need to feed yourself and stay safe without buying 100 toilet paper rolls.

Household

Soap: Two bars or bottles should be enough.

Disinfectant: If you are isolating you should disinfect surfaces and touchpoint every time you touch them.

Toilet paper: We don’t need 100 rolls, one standard pack with 9 rolls should be enough for two weeks.

Ibuprofen/Paracetamol

Kitchen Cupboard

Pasta and rice: Easy and filling meal but please be realistic and think how much you need to buy for two weeks.

Canned food: Even though it’s not as fresh as we always recommend here at CF, it last for long as it’s easy to storage. Tuna, canned tomatoes, chickpeas and beans are great options.

Oats: One bag last forever.

Long-life milk: A couple of cartons will last for the weeks coming.

Chocolate: For a bit of happiness in hard moments.

Kitchen Fresh

Oranges, mangoes, pears and apples: They last longer than other fruits.

Capsicum, carrots, potatoes

Halloumi or parmesan: A great cheese option that will last well over two weeks.

Frozen

Frozen Veggies: A bag or two of peas or mix frozen veggies are a good option to have.

Frozen fish or meat

Bread: Two loaves are enough for two toast in the morning. Keep them on the freezer and it can last for months.
